One of BLT’s first initiatives beginning in 2008, was working with the OPEA to develop a Nutrient Reduction Plan that was funded by a 319 grant. This plan was updated by our former Buckeye Lake Watershed Coordinator before he left because of lack of funding. This nutrient reduction plan highlighted Honey Creek as our number one priority to reduce sediment and nutrient loads through stream restoration.
