Bartholow Scholarship Information
Annually, Buckeye Lake for Tomorrow awards $1000 scholarships to three lake-area high school graduating seniors in memory of a Buckeye Lake for Tomorrow founder and civic activist Merv Bartholow. Merv worked diligently to improve water quality in the Buckeye Lake watershed and inspired many others to join the cause.
The $1000 Merv Bartholow Memorial Scholarship is available again this year to graduating seniors at each of our local high schools: Lakewood, Sheridan, and Millersport. Students must be accepted at a 4 or 2 year institution of higher education to major in a STEM or agricultural field and must have achieved a minimum of a 3.0 GPA in high school. They must submit the application along with a 500-word essay in response to one of the prompts provided in the application.
